I recently wrote a blog post about the Gilmore Girls as the Four Queens, which received such positive feedback that I decided to do a few more articles in that same vein. So, without further ado.
Prue as the Queen of Swords

Prue is a leader in the truest form. She is strong, calculated and clever. She starts off cold and a bit standoffish. She loves deeply, but she has built walls around her to protect herself. The Queen of Swords is great at setting up boundaries, but sometimes these boundaries can become rigid and make the queen closed off to new experiences. Prue starts this way. She goes almost a year before she tells her sisters that she loves them. However, she grows she realizes that love gives her strength and does not make her weak. She cuts to the heart of the issue when she speaks to those around her. She isn’t afraid of conflict. To Prue, there are no frills when dealing with trouble. She is protective. She always takes on the toughest, scariest jobs herself if given the choice. Sometimes, she takes on too much. She lives by the “if you want something done right, do it yourself” mentality. She is stratigiec and rarely looses her cool. She is ready to sacrifice for the greater good and, in the end, she lays down her life for her sisters.
Piper as the Queen of Pentacles:

Piper is strong, dependable and abundant. For most of the show, she is the provider. She starts her own club which provides for her sisters. She is solid and practical. She sees herself as weak, but in many ways she is the strongest of all the sisters. After Prue’s death, she steps up and rebuilds her life and the lives of her sisters. As a chef and a working mother, she is definitely present in the physical realm. Her love for Leo is grounded and stable. Piper is far less dramatic than her sisters and she often finds herself the voice of reason. She is representative of the earth mother – powerful and abundant. She is the first one to be a mother, she provides financially until Phoebe’s career takes off. She acts as mother to her sisters, even when Prue was the oldest. Patty, her mother, even calls Piper the heart of the family. She has a natural nurturing ability which allows her to care for her sisters, her children, her husband and her innocents.
Phoebe as the Queen of Wands:

Phoebe could be a queen of cups because she is deeply kind and loving, but she is far too intense for the cool cups. Phoebe is extremely passionate and lets her gut instinct dictate much of what she does. Her judgement is not the most reliable but when she sets resolve to do something, she makes it happen. She is smart and creative and funny. She has a lust for life which becomes insatiable at times. She finds herself swept up in the drama of love which eventually leads her to fall in love with a demon who leads her to the dark side. She is the only sister to fall prey to the lures of evil by her own choosing. Even though phoebe is beautiful and flirtatious, she seems to be cursed in love. It takes her many years to find true love. Her passion is her driving force which makes her a true embodiment of the Queen of Wands.
Paige as the Queen of Cups:

Page is uncommonly kind and open hearted. She accepts everyone as they are and sees the good in any situation. She loves deeply, on all levels; she adores her sisters, she is loyal to her friends and she is devoted to the men in her life. Paige feels everything deeply. The death of her adoptive parents early in her life ripped her open and nothing but light came shining out. She cares intensely about everyone and everything in her life – so much so that she is often in conflict between what she feels in her heart and what she feels she has to do for the greater good. Her greatest desire was a deeply fulfilling life which allowed her to help others. Eventually she achieves this life for herself by finding a way to balance her life as a mother, a wife and whitelighter.
